Driver
Must have the necessary ability to assess each hazard and negotiate the vehicle
through the hazard the best and safest possible way. Knowledge and expertise of
how to handle the vehicle is required. Always being aware of their own safety and
the public.
Navigator
Works closely with the driver to assess the hazard and guide the driver through the
hazard in the best way possible, while keeping track of the score, and monitoring the
competition. The navigator also operates the equipment in the vehicle such as rear
steering, diff locks and wheel brakes. The navigator is also the person who has to
get out in the deep mud or water to secure the tow rope for pulling out of a hazard,
and has to be a good team player
